the most well-respected guitarists in Singapore.
HE is MR Randolf Arriola!
To me, I feel he is one of the best well-kept secret
musical gems in Singapore where many still don't know about him.
Sounds like we are frogs in a well. Indeed we are...I guess we
Singaporeans are more concerned in making $$$
to survive than to be bothered about our music and
creative industries in Singapore.
If there is anyone who still think that Singaporean musicians
suck, just open up your mind and listen to all his stuff first without
any pre-judgement. Let your brain decide later and let your heart
listen and feel first! :)
If u guys don't know about him,
Randolf has represented Singapore in
the International Live Looping Festival at
Santa Cruz North California USA in 2007.
His performance was greeted with a standing
ovation from the audience and other invited artists
from around the world such as Arild Anderson and Henry Kaiser.

as shown below: He was invited again this year 2010 for the Y2K-X International Live
Looping Festival in Santa Cruz, San Jose and San Francisco
California USA as a headlining act.
He has submitted some videos to the Boss Loop Station World Championship 2010
where he hopes to enter as a finalist in the competition. Altogether he had submitted
4 videos. Let's wish him all the best and keep our fingers crossed for him to be placed
as a finalist!!!

Mr Loop Wizard (Randolf) just amazes me with his creative mind.
He has been dabbling with a lot of music effects
and delays gadgets including iPhone with his guitar throughout
his years!
Did I mention iPhone? Yes...u are RIGHT!
He even uses iPhone to make music!

Randolf Arriola is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who specialize in live-looping. Born and raised in Singapore, he taught himself how to play guitar at a young age, and has not looked back since, continuously producing music that stirs the mind, heart and soul. His repertoire includes unique reinterpretations of classics from diverse genres spanning from contemporary to cutting edge experimental, in addition to his original works. Randolf is also an arranger and a producer on top of being a live performer, with a creative motivation to reach out to the audience with music that is created like a fabric interwoven with his personality and creative intentions.

For his performance for “Me & My Guitar” for At The Concourse series, Randolf will be performing solo, with no pre-recorded material, familiar tunes and original compositions using his live-looping techniques. He will also debut his unique creation: a combination of iPhone and a Klein electric guitar, which he will showcase at the International festival in California USA.
