July Meetup for Singapore Singers & Songwriters! (Youth Day) - 5 July 09

The following information below is taken from The The Singapore Singers & Songwriters Meetup Group in the website http://www.meetup.com/

Hi to all Singapore Musicians! Hope you are still doing great and inspiring through your music! It has been my honour after our second meetup to personally come into contact with some groups and went on further to know you better. My sincere apologies for the absence of last month's meetup due to heavy workload schedules.

As promise, we will bring on a greater meaning to our very next meetup session (5th July'09, Sunday, 2pm)!

I understand that there were quite a number of musicians who were present at the previous meetup and we were supposed to contact you in regards to some music projects. My sincere apologies for the delay in contact as we are in the midst of recruitment and restructuring. I would like to pass on the area of music to 2 new team members to manage. Let me kindly introduce you to the pair in which they will take charge of musician-related concerns soon from July'09.

We are holding the meetup networking session for musicians this time round with the following agenda:
1.) A 5-minute brief and introduction of ourselves. There will be a search for music in projects areas such as in the industry of Gaming and Retail.

2.) An all round networking session to get to know one another better and personal. You will be able to tap onto each other talents and work on collaborations with the projects that we will be presenting to you on that day.

3.) While the networking session is on interacting with one another, you will be given the opportunity to showcase your talent! There should be available keyboard and guitars at this music school for use (they will give me the approval [or not] soon this week). If you have personal guitar/keyboard sets which you would like to bring to perform, you are most welcome to! (p.s. Pls advice us kindly in advance too..thanks!)

4.) Concurrently, we will be having our face-to-face meetup session with all who has Home Recording facilities. At the moment, we have done over 10 interviews. The next batch will be done soon in July. Should you have Home Recording facilities, please approach us on that day too.

Due to space constraints, this meetup session is based on a first-come-first serve basis. There are limited availability. And yes, this is free.
Check out on how to get to the exact venue: http://www.streetdb.c.../

It is very near Tanjong Pagar MRT, you can come through exit B. It is Youth Day on that Sunday...so hope to see some of the energy level!
Hear from you soon!

Cheers
Jerry Chen

Urgently seeking for original love songs to be featured in ExpressInMusic website

Hi Music Lovers & Musicians,

it's been a while. How have u guys been doing? Hope everything is fine. Finally my effort in promoting and creating awareness in local and Singapore music have been paid off. I am now officially part of the music department in ExpressInMusic - a music biz company.

As of now, we are urgently seeking for original love songs from songwriters/musicians to be featured in ExpressInMusic website as the ExpressInMusic website will be relaunched real soon.

Requirements of the love songs:
1) Theme should be revolving around the stories being in love...(song lyrics on feelings of couples/individuals being out of love are strongly discouraged...)
2) Preferably lyrics which are descriptive or poetic
3) Gives people a feeling of romantic or heartwarming atmosphere

Now this is a chance for yr songs to be promoted to Singaporeans and people from over the world. To tell the whole world that Singapore do have some decent local love songs.

Interested parties, pls send enquires or song samples with lyrics to aj@expressinmusic.com
