Some touching videos by Yet (a renowed local singer song-writer) at Yet's Blog. Apparently it was some music performance with some physically disabled folks and musicians during his debut album performance. Singapore's very own local alternative rock band King Kong Jane will be performing at Singapore Polytechnic this Sat 10 Jan 09. The Sunday Times mentioned them as "Best English Local Act" and they were the winner Power Jam - one of the local band music competitions in Singapore. Alliance Francaise New Year Concert with Jeremy Monteiro - 15-16 Jan 09

Below is some music news on our international renowned local jazz pianist Jeremy Monteiro and his bunch of excellent musicians starting off the New Year 2009 Jan celebration with a concert of music, wine and CHEESE. Did I mention CHEESE for New Year??? Yap I did...it sounds strange to me lol. Would ba Gua and crackers be better??? Anyway here's the news:

After a successful Jazzy Christmas Concert on 20th Dec 08 at the Esplanade, Jeremy Monteiro will be back swinging on stage for the 60th Anniversary of Alliance Francaise de Singapour with his Singapore All-Stars Band on 15-16 Jan 09.

The band will bring you jazz standards, refreshing originals, and French repertoire by renowned pianist-composer Michel Legrand, Michel Petrucciani as well as traditional French tunes like Autumn Leaves.

As a celebration for the French Alliance's anniversary, ticket prices are inclusive of WINE and CHEESE, which will be served before the show and during interval.

Singapore Hit Awards 2002 Performance from Singaporean local singer Sean

Hey guys

still remember my blog on Singapore Hit Awards 2008??? Here's my promise to u guys in bringing the video music clip on our local Singaporean singer Sean.

Here's a bit on Sean's music profile: Local singer Sean had travelled, sung and represented Singapore in vocal music competitions against some of the best singers around the world. And seriously when I say the world, I really meant singers from countries as far as Europe. Interestingly it's not yr kind of opera genre which classical music lovers might be thinking....wow compete with ang mo...must be singing some classical songs or opera arias. Its real pop music in different national languages that they were singing !!!

The video below features him giving a live performance of his song on our tcs8 TV channel back in 2002. Enjoy the video clip as I bring more news, videos and music on him and other Singaporean musicians!!!! In the meanwhile, do send news, pictures, music or videos of our local and international Singaporean musicians and singers to me via my email if u guys have such information to promote and support Singapore music!
